Dufour Atoll 6
The Atoll 6 is a yacht that has specifically been built for warm water sailing and open air living, while accommodating large numbers. It has a very large hull and effectively spans two levels. The yacht carries its very broad 5mt beam right to the stern and has a large folding swim platform allowing you to walk straight into the open cockpit which has seats down both sides. This area is all covered by a fixed cover with a large clear opening Perspex hatch in it. The twin helms are right aft of the seating area, and the cockpit is fitted with a full PVC cover the can be closed if required. Forward of the seating area is the galley and work surfaces and this area is surrounded by lots of Perspex windows with plenty of opening hatches. There is a panel that folds up into the roof area, that can be closed down to create a bulkhead when the yacht is closed up between the seats and galley area, but in normal warm weather use, this area is left open. From the galley area you go down a companionway to a central passage and down below there are six double cabins and four heads. All decor is in plain white to make the make everything bright and the emphasis is all on open air style living. On deck there is a large powerful rig and while clearly not a racing yacht, this yacht has a very acceptable performance, and can easily accommodate the large crew that it is normally expected that there will be on board while underway.
