Learn to sail and Flotilla Sailing Area in the Ionian Greece

In Greece the Learn to sail Holidays are run in the Ionian and sail from Nidri on the island of Lefkas. The sailing route is around the Southern Ionian and the inland sea taking in the islands of Lefkas, Kefalonia, Ithaca, Kastus, Kalamos, Meganisi as well as a number of other smaller islands and that part of the Greek mainland coast.

The map below shows the sailing area as well as a sample one week flotilla route which is described below. Any combination of the ports shown can however be used and the actual route will be decided on site taking into account factors such as, the weather, how busy a particular port is likely to be, and of course personal preferences. Obligatory daily distances are kept somewhere between 10 and 20 miles a day so there is plenty of flexibility for each yacht to adapt their day to suit themsleves.
